Strap Tensioning Tool The Strap Tensioning tool is designed for use with Crosswoven Strap and Self-Locking Metal Buckles. After the strap has been fed through the metal buckle and tightened by hand, the Tensioning Tool can then be used to further tighten the strap to your desired tension. The Tensioning Tool features a durable design with few moving parts. Mr. Shrinkwrap's On-Site Services Team has been using these Tensioning Tools for years for many applications, and they are a must-have - especially when shrink wrapping large equipment for open-road travel.The Strap Tensioning Tool also has a bult-in strap cutter, postioned just to the side of where the strap feeds through the tensioner. The cutter being out of the way keeps your excess strap safe from being cut until the tensioning is complete. The cutter slices right through heavy duty strap as well as light plastic straps when you're in a pinch.We recommend using the Strap Tensioning Tool when installing the greatest load-bearing strap for your shrink wrap installation. This would be the peak or center strap on boats, and the belt or perimeter strap on industrial equipment and vehicles.
