Shakespeare Karuta is played like Hyakunin Isshu (a traditional Japanese card game). All the words are taken from Shakespeare's plays, and the picture cards (48 cards) have illustrations related to the plays, so you can play even if you don't know the words. The back of the reading cards (48 cards) also has a brief explanation in Japanese. The main feature is the included "audio CD." If you use the random function on your CD player, the order in which the cards are read aloud will change, so everyone can play as a player without having to have someone read the cards. The lines on the CD are read in British English by British actors, so you can also learn the correct English pronunciation.
