a type of English pottery known for its distinctive blue & white printed Made by Ridgway family, a prominent Staffordshire pottery in North Staffordshire, England, with the "Oriental" pattern 1st introduced in the 1830s. The specific mark with "England" indicates production after 1891.
The "Oriental" pattern typically features a central scene with oriental architecture, landscapes, & figures, often including pagodas, gardens, palm trees & sometimes camels. The border is frequently decorated with floral arrangements & architectural elements within cartouches, & the edges are scalloped with gold trim. These plates are made of earthenware & are antique collectibles, often dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, between 1891 & 1920 based on the England mark. Old rare & hard to ffind
