These are a pair of vintage "eyelash" cat salt and pepper shakers.
They are a collectible, kitschy item, typically from the mid-20th century (often 1950s-1960s).
The set features a larger "mom" cat and a smaller "kitten".
They are made of ceramic, often with a pearlized cream glaze, and have original chain collars and plastic stoppers.
Many similar items were made in Japan.
The chains around their neck are held on with a small piece of wire. There is discoloration in some spots and some stuff on that I can’t get off in other spots. And some paint wearing off on the eyelashes. Stoppers are still in the bottom of them.
