Overview: Up for sale is this fantastic and rare woodblock print by Gihachiro Okuyama (1907-1981). Okuyama was a prolific print artist from Sagae, Yamagata. His major background was from print advertising, but starting in the 1950's, he shifted toward producing original prints. This print is entitled, "Torii Gate at Miyajima" and depicts the famous Miyajima Shrine outside of Hiroshima. It is matted and nicely framed in a dark wood frame. A variation of Okuyama's seal is at lower left of the print.
Condition: Print and frame are in excellent condition.
Measurements: Print measures approximately 9.5 inches high x 4.875 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 11.375 inches high x 8.375 inches wide.
