“Hunting World” NYC 1975 preserved unworn Short Sleeve Safari Bush Jacket, RARE

Genuine impossible to find unused “Hunting World” of NYC 1975 Model of their Camel Color Short Sleeve Safari Bush Jackets, size 44.

Made in the USA, says in the tag, which is important. Starting in the late 1980’s they started making Safari gear overseas in Asia or Central America. Label also says, 100% cotton, a soft “gabardine cotton” but thick to protect from sun and bugs and provide durability. Though label says “Dry Clean Only,” that’s more to preserve the many creases (on sleeves, pockets, backside and collar, and also the two shoulder epaulets). Buttons are made of bone. Look at the stitching, very clean and fine.

Four pockets in total, the bottom 2 being large “floppy” bellows” style. Top pockets have a handsome vertical crease, as does the backside, including a suit like separation showing that this shirt/jacket is meant to be worn over pants like a suit jacket, not tucked in.
