Lavishly illustrated Victorian edition bound in ornate brown and burgundy cloth with bright gilt floral decoration and embossed design. Gold-edged pages, decorative spine, and illustrated frontispiece.
Condition: Good for age. Light shelf wear, minor edge rubbing, and some spine tip fraying. Interior pages show foxing (age spots), especially near portrait pages. Inscription on flyleaf dated 1884 (Montgomery, Ala). Binding remains tight and sound.
