This listing is for a set of two (2) vintage ceramic Medieval Knight Helm helmet wall plaques in red, silver, and black. The piece on the left depicts a Roman centurion helmet. Designed in the style of an ancient Roman Imperial helmet, specifically a Gallic type, featuring a large neck guard and cheek pieces. Features a prominent horsehair like crest, typical of those worn by Roman officers or centurions. The helmet on the right depicts a jousting or tournament helmet, possibly an armet or great helm style, featuring a slitted visor and a decorative plume and feathered crest. My grandma painted these in the 1970s or 1980s. The back of one is black and the other was left white. There are unfortunately several chips and imperfections as highlighted by several blue arrows within the pictures.
