This 2003 work, conceived, conducted, and produced by the late, great trumpet genius who passed away at the young age of 49, is reissued to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

This is an R&B/Hip-Hop project led by Roy Hargrove, a trumpet player from Texas, USA. They released their first album, "Hard Groove," in 2003, followed by "Strength" the following year, and "Distractions" in 2006. While the members were fluid, the lineup included Pino Palladino, James Poyser, Bernard Wright, Bobby Sparks, and Jason "JT" Thomas. Hargrove passed away on November 2, 2018.
