ames Marshall, known as DALEK, channels vibrant creativity through his iconic Space Monkey, blending Japanese pop culture with street art to explore themes of technology and humanity. Influenced by graffiti, punk, and skateboarding, he introduced Space Monkey in 1995 after studying at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Art Institute of Chicago. A 2001 apprenticeship with Takashi Murakami refined his painting technique, leading to a shift from character-driven work to bold geometric compositions. DALEK’s artwork has been exhibited in international galleries and has attracted many brand collaborations including Nike, Hurley, and American Express.
