Serviced & Tested (Defective) ⭐ Canon Demi EE17 ⭐ White-based leatherette ♪

Canon Demi EE17
The flagship model of the Demi series.
A film camera from over 60 years ago, it's a half-frame camera.
Half-frame cameras have a smaller format size, so a 36-exposure film will yield 72 shots.

It uses a shutter-priority EE system, so the photographer sets the shutter speed, and the aperture value is determined automatically.

[Appearance]
・Has scratches and dirt commensurate with age.
・The original leatherette has been replaced with white-based cowhide.
・Light seals have been replaced.

[Operation]
・Completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled.
・Shutter and self-timer function well.
・Film counter operation confirmed.
・Exposure meter functions correctly.
Compared with my digital camera, LUMIX FZ1000,
it seemed to be almost accurate.
・The aperture value changes when the shutter speed dial is moved.
・The winding lever does not return during rewind.
It returns if moved gently by hand.
(It returns properly with split winding.)

[Optics]
・The lens has been disassembled and cleaned, but the front element has many scratches.
・The viewfinder has been cleaned and the view is good.

[About Actual Photos]
These were taken in late November 2025.
The film used was Marrix AirColor 100, developed and digitized to approximately 24 megapixels on CD-R, then imported to a PC and cropped.
Photos were taken with ISO 50→100→200 film and placed side by side.
I think it will be a reference for the image quality.
I took photos even in backlight, but I didn't feel any particular problems with the lens scratches.
(The line on the last image is due to dust.)

[Accessories]
Camera body
Batteries (625G): Both a test battery and a new one are included.

The original leatherette color was black, but it has been changed to white-based cowhide for a French look.
It's priced lower due to the lens scratches and the winding lever not returning on its own.

You can use shutter-priority EE, full manual, and bulb shooting.
