SIGNED/INSCRIBED by the Author! "Shaking the Dust from Shakespeare" by Harris Jay Griston. Published in 1924. Second Editon. The Book has top page edges that are dyed green, & a lot of the pages are uncut!

The author writes a lovely message to the addressee, Benjamin Brown, in which he praises Brown's skill at crafting arguments for his clients. It is a great message!

This is a pretty RARE book! It is the author's attempt to analyze Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. The author states in his preface that: "And yet, today, more than three hundred years after its creation, this play is, I believe, the most widely misunderstood and misinterpreted literary work of modern times."

Book: Great condition! A little wear on the cover - corners bumped. A little rubbing on the back cover. Gilt: faded on spine. Green dye on the top page edges has faded. Interior: immaculate! Bright & clean, & with uncut pages! (There is a little staining on the inside covers, but that's it!)
