This is a complete set as shown in the photos.

This set includes the controller from the 30-year-old set , which can be used for tracing programs, along with 4 stud-connected cables, 3 of the 9V motors, and an RCX and AC adapter.

The control center originally operates on 6 D-cell batteries (photo 6 shows where they are inserted), but the seller has made some modifications to allow it to operate on an external power supply. Of course, it can still operate on D-cell batteries, but this modification was made to avoid the need for batteries that are not commonly used these days and to allow for play without worrying about battery life.

To use the external power supply, connect the cable as shown in photos 2 and 3 to the black stud on the upper left of the control center, connect the other end of the cable to port A or C of the RCX, and then plug the AC adapter into the AC adapter port of the RCX. Finally, turn on the RCX and press the green RUN button. If the cable is connected in the wrong direction, the polarity will be reversed and it will not work; in that case, reverse the direction of the cable (a bridge diode could have been incorporated, but this specification was chosen due to the significant voltage drop).

All items, including the 3 motors, are in very good condition. Operation has been confirmed, and those who have Technic series or Mindstorms can immediately incorporate them and use them.
*The RCX is only used to secure external power this time, so a computer is not required. Of course, the RCX itself is also in near-new condition, so there are no malfunctions, and you can also play by programming with dedicated software (, 9747, 3801).

There is no instruction manual for the control center, so please search online.
