Extraordinary and Unique, Unisex, ANTIQUE, Sterling Silver, Rose Gold, FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY Symbol Brooch by SYDENHAM BROTHERS, Birmingham, England, 1875.
Measuring about 3/4" x 1 7/8" x 1/4" deep, this Victorian Brooch is fully hallmarked.
The base is solid Sterling with floral designs and bordered by ornate, bubble-dot beadwork. Secure, period correct T-hinge and C-Clasp.
Raised and curved above are Rose Gold decorated etched leaves and an open-work Heart, Anchor, Cross.
Also known as the “anchored cross” or “anchored triquetra,” the anchor heart and cross symbol can hold a variety of meanings and interpretations, both religious and secular, making it a versatile and meaningful emblem for many people.
