Lovely vintage string quilt made from 1930s40s cotton feedsack prints. Diagonal strip-pieced blocks are set with creamy muslin sashing and finished with a pink inner and mint green outer border. Hand-tied with cotton yarn; hand-finished binding. The back is solid mint green, same as the border.
Approx size: ~65.5" x 47.5"(see photos for tape measure).
Materials: cotton top/back, cotton batting; tied, not densely quilted.
Colors/prints: violets on yellow, shirting stripes, plaids, calicos, turquoise, red, navy, etc.
Construction: machine pieced, hand tied, hand-finished edges.
Condition: Vintage/used. General waviness and light age toning to muslin and scattered light spots from storage/age, minor edge wear; ties intact. Clean estate find; no strong odors. Please zoom photossold as found.
