Circa 1940s, this beautifully tailored wool cape offers timeless midcentury elegance with a rich camelbrown hue that transitions effortlessly between casual and dress occasions. Crafted in what feels to be wool, the piece features a stand collar, fullfront zip closure, clean tailored lines, and side slits/hidden openings for arms. The silhouette evokes the practical yet refined outerwear style of wartime and postwar womens wardrobes when wool was favored and designs were streamlined.
Based on the Talon zipper used on the cape, I estimate it to be from 1942. There are no markings or tags beyond what's on the zipper. In excellent condition! A really beautiful piece. No size, one size fits most.
