Vintage Set of 4 illustrated softcover books entitled “The Country Book: A Digest of Country Living From The Country” by various authors.
Set includes:
Summer 1941. 160 pages.
Autumn 1941. 160 pages.
Winter 1942. 128 pages.
Spring 1942. With 32-page War Garden Section. 128 pages.
Condition is used. There is extensive damage to the cardboard slipcover including soiling, staining, and fading. It appears this set of books sustained water damage at one point. There is NO offensive odor to the books. I would consider them as having an “old paper” smell (not moldy). Each book has former owner’s name written in ink on the inside front cover. There is no other writing in the books. Each book has overall wear to front and back covers and spine. The orange book has some dye transfer on a few of the front pages. The interior pages are made from good quality paper and are crisp and intact. Please zoom all photos for more details.
Each book measures approximately 4-7/8” x 7-1/2 inches.
