Vintage 1960's 925 sterling silver Iguala, Mexico handmade Eagle Mark 2 grapes brooch or pin
Amazing 1960's handmade in Iguala, Mexico brooch or pin. Features a bunch of grapes with stem and leaves. Stamped with an Eagle Mark 2 and "HECHO EN MEX IGUALA 925." In 1948 the Government of Mexico promoted the reintroduction of the "eagle mark" to identify the manufacturers of silver items. The "eagle" was stamped with a number associated to a silver manufacturing company. This system was unsuccessful, eagle and was abandoned in the 1980s. Natural, beautiful patina included. May need a cleaning depending on your preferences. Tested with a neodymium magnet and JSP acid, guaranteed sterling.
