Vtg 1960's Female Handmade Malay Costume Doll Art Doll Malaysian Culture Doll Wooden Stand Silk Costume Cheongsam Chinese Dress

This doll has been in my collection since the 1960's.

The doll is made of wire and cloth and has beautiful hand-painted facial features on a felt head. She is wearing a sheath column Cheongsam Chinese vintage dress with a high neck and half sleeve. The fabric is elegant silk brocade gold and beige in an intricate pattern. Finished off with one red piping above the chest. Underneath her Cheongsam is a peach colored slip.

This Cheongsam is sewn to her figure perfectly. Very fine tailoring.

She carries a chartreuse green purse with a gold tone closure. There is some discoloration on her pocketbook. On her other wrist is a black bracelet with a gold flower on it.

Her sandals are brown with gold tone flowers on each one.

She has short bangs and her hair is braided and then wrapped in circles with sequined hair decorations.
