Jean-Louis Domecq was a French mechanic and designer. Tired of searching for a reliable and practical table lamp for his workshop, Domecq decided to design and construct his own. The result is a marvel in which form and function marry perfectly.
Made of hand crafted metal, designed by Jean Louis Domecq and produced by Jielde, this lamp features:
An industrial car brake,
Two adjustable arms
Clamp holders adjustable at all joints.
On and off switch on the base,
which attaches to a desk or table.
Manufacturer label on the shade.
Original light green metallic paint.
The wiring has been renewed and modified for use in the U.S.
Recognized today as an icon of the French industrial arts, Jieldé lamps have played an instrumental role in popularizing the “industrial style” in domestic spaces.
