Vintage mid-century modern knee hugger Santa Claus figure, probably made in Japan in 1950 to 1960. The body is made from red felt and has black felt "boots". The Santa suit has a white collar and white gloves. The doll has a rubber face with painted details, and is wearing a red felt cap with a white pom-pom. The figure is in good "as-found" condition - it has a repair to Santa's right shoulder, and his fake-fur beard may be a replacement for the original wispy beard. Santa sits about 7 1/2" high by 3" wide - you can also slip his legs out and dangle them over the edge of a shelf. Overall, this doll is in good used vintage condition.
