In the 1950s, this would have been worn with a "New Look" silhouette dress. Today, it's a popular choice for:

Does show some foxing and one of the sequin layers just needs a little touch of fabric glue. Pre-owned, well cared for. The top measurements are approximate 7" x 7 1/2", with the inside measurements approximately 6 1/2" x 5 3/4".
The velvet-covered wire or piping along the inside rim shows some light wear, which is typical for a piece that is roughly 70 years old.
